Reena Williams Body Found Wednesday – Ruled Accidental Drowning
Tuesday night around 6 PM was the last time Reena Williams was seen alive. Her father saw her outside playing, barefoot, with the family dog. Around 7:30 PM, Williams was reported missing. A search was started immediately for the missing girl.
Sadly, Williams body was found by the Danbury, Wisconsin dive team about 25 yards from her home in a canal. Neighbors report seeing Williams and another child around 5:30 PM on Tuesday wandering around the neighborhood, barefoot.
Since there is not a definitive cause of death, authorities drained the canal in search of clues, if any. The autopsy was performed and the medical examiner death by drowning. The report indicated no foul play and the full report will be available in four to six weeks. The drowning was ruled an accident. Not wanting to speak publicly, Williams mother, Jenna Danish sent out a message to everyone.
“I just want thank everyone for helping out for the generous offers to try to locate my daughter. I appreciate everything this community has done.” — Jenna Danish, mother of Reena Williams
Reena Williams was 3-years-old. There is no word if anyone will face neglect charges or any other charges at this point. The FBI is no longer assisting with the investigation. The investigation is being handles by the Burnett County Sheriff Department.
