Jose Baez Gives His Opinion On Conrad Murray Trial To HLN’s Jane Mitchell
Well we all know that ever since the arrest, trial, and subsequent acquittal, we keep hearing about that attorney of hers. Yeah, it’s the one you love to hate. Jose Baez.
After the Casey Anthony trial, we didn’t hear or see as much of him at first. Then we started seeing him everywhere. Television, newspapers, online, and magazines. Same as his client. Then the Aruba incident occurred. Gary Giordano is being accused of murdering Robyn Gardner, even though he claims she was swept out to sea. He retained the services of Jose Baez.
So back in the news, and all over the tabloids, and TV shows he went.
Now, while America has stopped focusing on him, and his clients, he went on Jane Velez Mitchell, Nancy Grace’s protege, to give his opinion on how the Conrad Murray involuntary manslaughter trial is going. Jane asks him if he thinks that the rumors of bickering among the defense may be true. Baez explains that he doesn’t know, and then goes on to describe how he was supposed to cross examine Roy Kronk, but since his witnesses kept getting called one after the other, he was experiencing fatigue, and let Cheney Mason handle it. He is saying that this could be the case as to why another defense attorney handled the questioning of a witness rather than the attorney originally set to question.
I figured, like most people did, that since Casey Anthony was acquitted, we would be seeing a lot more of Baez all over. He has become a known lawyer around the world. I would not be surprised if he is not known among the ranks of Robert Shapiro and Johnnie Cochran for their ability to get OJ Simpson acquitted on murder charges.
No matter how you slice it though, Jose Baez, no matter how much you hate him, did do the job he was hired to do. He created the reasonable doubt to get Casey Anthony acquitted.
