Facebook Can Kill, That Is If You Are The Child Of This Half-Wit
Shannon Johnson of Fort Lupton Colorado, left her son alone in a bathtub, at the 13 month olds request.
Johnson told police that her son was an “independent baby” and that he wanted to be alone. She claims that she didn’t want to tell her child “no” since she knew what it felt like to be told no.
So while her son was alone in a bathtub, a month after he had been treated for a seizure, she decided to start playing Cafe World on Facebook. While playing the game, unbeknown to her, the young child was drowning. She went to check on him after not hearing him playing for about 3 minutes.
Johnson called emergency services, and upon arrival, police noticed Facebook was still up on the mothers computer. The child was flown to The Children’s Hospital in Aurora, where he died.
Keep in mind, that this child drowned in a bath tub, but kids can drown in a 5 gallon bucket, a sink, or anywhere they can get their face into enough water to cover their mouth and nose for a prolonged period to prevent the child from breathing in oxygen.
