Sex Offender Arrested for Flashing Teen In Wal-Mart
David Huffman was arrested yesterday by an Orange County Fugitive Task Force officer after Ocoee Police Department investigators determined that he was indeed the man who walked into a Wal-Mart and flashed a teen.
The teen told her mother about the incident and the mother gave chase to the suspect. At the door, the suspect can be seen trying to exit, hitting what appears to be a locked door, going out another. The mother tells an employee what happened. They run to call the police.
Another person in the parking lot stated they watched the suspect get into an american made car. Description was pretty sparse when released by the police department.
The factor that brought this man back into custody? Wal-Mart surveillance video. Later it was released that the police department got a complete description and a tag number of the get away car. But they also had something even better. An unblinking eye. The Wal-Mart surveillance video shows him walking at a high rate of speed and being chased by the victims mother.
But this incident is only the most recent offense by this registered sex offender.
In 1990 he was charged. He was convicted, and sentenced to 17 years for attempted sexual battery on a minor under 12 in 1993. He served 8 years for the offense and was released on April 1, 2001.
In 2003 he was charged, convicted, and sentenced to prison for failure to register as a sex offender. He was sent to prison on April 22, 2003 a short 2 years after his original release. He was released from prison on June 18, 2005.
Now here we are in 2010, and he’s back in the system again.
